About CASI
Established to help build Carson City’s animal shelter, CASI continues its community outreach.
CASI provides spay/neuter access through our Critter Fixer voucher program. Critter Fixer allows low-income pet owners access to this important service, directly reducing the numbers of animals surrendered to our shelters.
Thanks to our partnerships with Quail Ridge Animal Hospital, Riverside Veterinary Hospital, and Moffitt Animal Clinic, CASI has to date helped nearly 1700 cats and dogs have access to spay/neuter, directly reducing the numbers of animals surrendered to local shelters.

CASI was founded in 2012 to help build the new animal shelter. Following the construction in 2016, CASI fenced and installed the shelter play yard, donated an animal control vehicle, and most notably established Critter Fixer, our low cost spay/neuter voucher program for pets in low-income families.

Too many puppies and kittens find themselves abandoned or in shelters as there are simply not enough homes for them all.
Spaying and neutering is the key, yet for many
the surgery is cost prohibitive.
That's where CASI can help.
